Most expensive lawn mower in the world
The lawn mower was invented in 1830 by Edwin Beard Budding in England. The first machine had a 19-inch mowing area with a frame built from wrought iron and cast-iron wheel gears that drove its rotary blades.
Today, the lawn mower is an ultra-high-tech, powered driving machine that can be as rapid as a car and about as powerful.

8. Husqvarna Z572X Zero Turn Mower
Price: $15,399.99
Brand: Husqvarna
Engine: 31hp
The Husqvarna Z572X Zero Turn Mower is a 72” deck built by Kawasaki, equipped with large hydro-gear ZT-5400 transmissions. Its engine is powered by 31hp and can drive forward up to 12mph.
The mower is equipped with ROPS, or a “rollover protection system,” which is a system of tubes and hinges that prevents the deck from flipping.
A zero-turn mower has its mowing deck sticking out in the front rather than under the machine, which reduces its turning radius to (near) zero. Its parking brake system was a patented creation by Husqvarna that allows the mower to automatically rotate its steering levers on and off.

The 7 Best Zero-Turn Lawn Mowers Make Short Work of Big Grass-Cutting Jobs

Best Overall
Husqvarna Xcite Z345 Zero-Turn Mower
Pros
- Suspension seat
- Convenient dial selector for cutting height
Cons
- Low fuel warning instead of fuel gauge
Husqvarna’s Xcite Z345 is solidly built mid-tier zero-turn mower, bridging the gap between homeowner and pro-level equipment. Plastic bodywork is notably absent, with a heavy gauge fabricated deck, metal rear fenders, and metal engine cover. The Z345 features a Kohler 25-hp engine with hydrostatic transmission that provided ample power mowing heavy wild grasses in one of our seldom mowed test areas.
We appreciated the 16-way, adjustable seat suspension when mowing on this rougher ground. Setting the cut height is easy on the Xcite Z345, with a simple 12-position dial setting, adjustable from 1.5 to 4.5 inches. The controls are simple, straightforward, and were easy to use, with just an ignition switch, throttle lever, and blade engage/disengage button—it also has a digital hour meter and low fuel indicator.
We especially liked the tires on the Z345, with a more open, aggressive tread pattern than typical turf tir
Forget The Tourbillon: Bugatti Could Easily Make The World’s Fastest And Most Expensive Lawnmower
Have you ever noticed this strange phenomenon? It would seem that the costliest examples of any object ever made are rarely used for their intended purpose. Despite being crafted exquisitely to perform the task at hand far better than any similar Costco-grade item you might compare it to, most of these things will simply sit on display in a clear box or even rarely see the light of day.
Napoleon’s coronation sword is one case in point. The blade was made by a Versailles arms factory, but the real piece de resistance was the handle. Studded with forty-two brilliant cut diamonds for a total of 254 carats, the centerpiece was something called the Regent diamond valued at around six million francs in 1801. If Mister Bonaparte chose to throw down with this fabulous weapon, it would likely serve the little guy quite well, yet I sincerely doubt that this jewel-encrusted sword was ever raised in anger. The most resistance the sword ever met was probably a leather sheath instead of its usual velvet covering.
It’s the same story with many automobiles of similar value. Sure,
