Marking 100 years of living out unity in MWC through photos, music, trees, and more
Following Jesus, living out unity, building peace— It is the new tagline for the mission we’ve always carried as Anabaptists.
This is a momentous year with two anniversaries for Mennonite World Conference: 500 years of the Anabaptist movement and 100 years of MWC: a communion of Anabaptist-related churches linked to one another in a worldwide community of faith for fellowship, worship service, and witness.
As an organization—a koinonia—we exist to facilitate relationships with each other, growing our Anabaptist faith and relating to other communions.
Bimonthly challenges
We are inviting our members around the planet to celebrate with us by participating in campaign of bimonthly challenges. Each action will be announced on social media with a reminder in each issue of MWC Info.
All submissions can be sent to photos@mwc-cmm.org.

Mennonite World Conference has announced the theme and dates for its 2028 global assembly in Ethiopia: “Christ Unites Us,” Jan. 11-15.
“January was chosen due to the climate and holidays,” said Liesa Unger, MWC chief international events officer. “The assembly will be between Ethiopian Christmas and Epiphany celebrations.”
Assembly Scattered — tours with opportunities to visit Ethiopian congregations and more fully experience the region — will be offered Jan. 15-18.
The Global Youth Summit will take place concurrent with the assembly.
With more than 514,000 baptized members, Ethiopia’s Meserete Kristos Church is the world’s largest Anabaptist conference.
A National Advisory Council is planning the event, the 18th global assembly in MWC’s 100-year history.

Dec 19, 2022From the Mennonite World Conference Christmas around the world Christmas consists of many family gatherings to hear the Christmas story and get reminded of the message of hope and peace that Jesus came to the world to make known.
