Between June 25 and June 30, the Jordan World Circus is coming to Wyoming communities. This circus features camels, elephants and other animals.

By scheduling their tour toward smaller cities, Jordan World Circus is able to elude animal welfare and public health entities, including the USDA, that otherwise would be citing them for numerous violations of animal care. The Jordan World Circus organization has been frequently cited for failure to provide veterinary care to its animals, properly securing its animals, which resulted in harm to handlers and patrons, and the death of a handler in 2000. Other violations include:

• handling animals in an abusive manner
• hoofed animals fed in an unsanitary manner
improper food storage
• failure to provide animals with adequate nutrition, shelter, water, and shade
• camels tethered to a truck with a short lead
• filthy enclosures
providing dirty drinking water to animals
• failing to provide adequate water availability to animals

Every reputable circus company stopped using exotic animals years ago due to animal welfare concerns. Animals do not exist for our commercial entertainment.
